NTU Scientists unveil social and telepresence robots

A lifelike robot is created to work as a receptionist at the Nanyang Technology University in Singapore. ‘Nadine’ works with according to the same principles as Apple’s Siri or Microsoft’s Cortana. A not-so virtual digital assistant. It opens perspectives for healthcare, where robotic creatures (I remember a baby-seal for instance) are already used to help against loneliness among the elderly.
